Quote by Muammar Gadhafi

"Labour in returnof wages is virtually the same as in enslaving a human being. In a socialist society no person may own a private means of transportation for the purpose of renting to others, because this represents controlling the need of others." -Muammar Gadhafi

Disappointed

Yesterday, I deciedd the best thing for me to do is drop my math class, because I was failing. Bummer, because I really tried hard and attended class every day. Math is not one of my strongest subjects, so I need more time to absorb the material. I think it will be best for me to take math when I get closer to transferring. That way, I can focus more of my study time towards math instead of math and three other subjects. Wask! Hopefully summer classes are offered, so I could take one class and not get set back.

"Precrime Prolonged Detention" Really Obama?!

Our government leaders are really riding on this imaginary Al-Queda war on the United States, and implementing laws that blatantly take away our "Freedom" that are really just privilages, in my opinion. This Precime is wrong, wrong, wrong!!! This really does remind me of the movie Minority Report.

Maybe, if this Great Nation was spreading love, peace, and harmony. Instead of war, hate, disease, famine, and blood shed the leaders wouldn't be so damn paranoid. Karma is a bitch! In my opinion, we as citizens of this counrtry have to take blame for the sorrow happening over seas, because we do nothing to stop it. There is a handful of those who are on the front line, but everyone should be on the front line when it comes to all the wrong doings that are being done in our name.

Quality Time

Today my step dad came by to help me break my bed down. Every time him and I get together we can talk about just anything that comes to mind. We talk about Jamica, Bermuda, Barbados, and other islands/countries where the population is perdominatly black. Great conversations and now I'm finally finished packing for today.

Quote of the day!

“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”

I thought this was hilarious

A friend called me and told me this funny story, so i decided to share this. I think its freaking hilarious! Her friend was sitting in a board meeting, and they were discussing a new budget plan. So every time someone mentioned an idea they had and it was too expensive her co worker. Who is a white lady by the way, says out loud, 'That Shit Cray Cray." Hahahaha...its so funny, because that is a hook from Jay Z and Kanye West song Niggas in Paris.

Sorting through old stuff

I'm in the process of moving, so I'm sorting through everything and finding old photos and letters. All I can do is laugh at the silliness that was written and photos that were taken. Good times...

Life's Curve Balls!

Life will continuously throw unexpected curve balls, but its all about how prepared you are to ensure you hit a home run. I have realized, I work ten times harder to ensure my goals are met, whenever life decides to try, and run me off the road. Life has taught me to be prepared for the unexpected. With what is currently happening in my life, I have accepted it as a test, and a life lesson. I am lucky! To have a handle full of good friends that are truly there for me in these times. Those handful of people were put in my life for a reason. When challenging situations occur not only are you put to the test, but those who claim they love you are as well. You find out your true friends. The universe will not give us too much we can't handle, but enough to push, and test our limits. Good or bad, I believe everyone should keep a positive and open outlook on life, because by doing so, it helps anyone get through whatever situation peacefully. Just my honest opinion.

Ahhh..Contaminated Water

Well I read an article on our current water supply called, "The Poisoning of Amerca's Water Supplie's." I must say, as I was reading my jaw continued to drop as I read what chemical toxins are found in our water that we use to cook with, bathe in, and drink. Fluroide, lead, and mercury these chemaicals cause delay in our physical and mental development, increase in high blood pressure, kidney problems, and planty more issues. This puts the icing on the cake for this chemiacal cocktail, pharmaceutical drugs are also found in out water supply. Drugs such as: antidepresessant, anticonvulsants, anticancer drugs, and anitmicrobial. It's pretty upsetting, because organizations like the Food and Drug Admintration and the Environmental Protections Agency are put into place to protect the poeple of the United States. Instead these people within these organizations are doing the complete opposite and their main drive is profit instead of the well being of humanity. Its disgusting!

Health Care Law

I must say that I disagree with the fine the government would like to impose on every U.S. citizen for not having health insurance. What if people can't afford to buy health care?

R.I.P. Trayvon Martin

Another hate crime committed in the United States. An innocent unarmed 17 year old boy shot and killed for no reason, but being black and labeled suspcious for walking down the street. The struggle still continues in the year 2012.

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead, is one of my favorite shows that come one every Sunday on AMC. I'm a fan of horror, thrillers, and suspense. Zombie flicks are one of my favorites, so I own almost all of the series of Resident Evil and many more Zombie flicks you can think of. I enjoy The Walking Dead, because this is the closets plot that shows a more realistic way of surviving. If an epidemic was to occur to where a virus could kill you and once infected bring you back to life and feed on the living. A lot of zombie flicks especially Resident Evil has unrealistic ways of surviving, but I still enjoy them. I really enjoy Syfy!!!

Long Day

I've had a long day and I'm ready to go home and relax. Luckily, I was able to complete a lot of my homework while at work, so once I make it home I don't have much to do. It was nice not having a phone today any who time to head home.

Nneka Concert Was off the Chain!

I must say, Nneka was beyond amazing! I was speechless Sunday night! She had the crowd energitic and on the edge of their seats. Oh man, what made me even more drawn to her. Was the fact she performed in some pajama pants rocking the natural afro. She wasn't flashy and to me that says a lot about her character Her words touched my heart and encouraged me more to continue on my journey of awakening. The goal it to eventually make a positive changes before I leave this earth. Man! She was beautiful! After the concert was over the floor was opened, so we could finish the night off dancing. The DJ played some cuban music, salsa, and some African sounds. Reminded me of the music created during the Harlem Renaissance. My group of friends linked up with another group of people and danced freely. Haha...I even met a nice young lady and we danced the night away. She is from latin descent, so she was grooving like they would in her culture. I was throwing in my african dances and we grooved together, good times! I love events and moments like that. It feels good to just let loose and express yourself freely through dancing.

Awwww Math!!!

I'm a little on edge due to my last results on my math test. The last test and two quizzes, I didn't do too well on, so I'm not feeling good about that. I can't repeat any classes, because it will hold me back from reaching my goals by next year. Only solution I can think of is study, study, and study some more when ever I have the chance.

Erykah Badu One Of My Favorite Artist

Erykah is one of my favortie artist and I had the opportunity to see her perform in 2010 at the UCLA Reggea Festival. Her hit "I Want You" is on my list of favorite songs by her. You see can Dave Chappelle grooving in the back with the band as well. I love R&B, Soul, Jazz, Blues, hip hop,and anything soulful. I believe music can touch the souls of people and heal them.

Women!

I'm a women myself, but I have to honestly say. I just don't understand women and the decisions they make sometimes. Women say they want someone whis is loving, genuine, respectful, loyal, honest, and hard working, but once that package is presented to them. A lot of women shy away and can't handle what the package they requested. I just don't understand sometimes...

One of those Saturdays

This Saturday, was one of the best Saturdays, I have had in a long time now. I planned a all day hike with some firends up in the Santa Monica mountains. We hiked the trail that leads you to the grotto. I would like say that its such a beautiful site especially if the water is flowing. The water falls are amazing! For some of my friends it, was their first time doing something like that, so it felt even better to have exposed them to an amazing experince of simply enjoying the beauty of nature. No money spent, no flashy outfits, just good company, and nature. We hiked for about 5 hours andhad luuch during the hike. After finishing the hike we drove down PCH and spontaneously ended up at Point Dome. We walked the shoreline and challenged each other to just jump into the water. No one returned to the car dry! Overall this weekend was amazing and once we made it home at 8pm we all knocked out.

Sodium Lauril Sulfate

Sodium Lauril Sulfate is found in our cleaning and hygiene supplies. It can be found in our soups, shampoo's, body wash, laundry detergent, shaving cream, and mouth wash. The efffects of this chemical causes those hurtful bumps in our mouth called canky sores and also contributes to breast cancer mainly found in women. This chemical is derived from the coconut oil and palm oils, so its really cheap to make. With all this being facts, I ask myself, why would the FDA allow this chemical into our cleaning and hygiene products? The FDA is suppose to protect the people from harmful chemicals entering our food and drugs. That is what they are paid for, right? I remember reading a book by Kevin Trudeau called, "Naturel Cures: They Don't Want You to Know About." He helped answer a lot of my questions on why our own goverment would allow this type of activity by companies to occur. These companies, add these ingredients in our food and know the health affects it causes. I will end this by saying the FDA and the Pharmaceutical Companies make more money off of us, by keeping us sick then they do healing us, period!

The Green Book

I am currently reading, "The Green Book" by Muammar Gaddafi. After the attack on Libya ordered by Obama my curiosty came into play, while watching the leaders of this country hunt this man down. I had to find out why this man was wanted, because I knew in my heart it was not for humanitarian reasons. Come on now, this is America for christ sakes. America sat back and allowed the Rwanda Genocide to happen and worsen. Any who, after doing some reading and researching about this man, Gaddafi. I used mainstream media and independent news media, so I could compare and contrast. I came to the conclusion that Gaddafi was not as bad as American media protryed him as. He did so much for the Libyian people and Africans! Gaddafi makes a lot of good points in his book. One good point is when he says, "He who owns the house in which you live, the vehicle in which you ride, or the income on which you live, either completely or partially controls your Freedom" -Muammar Gaddafi
That statement holds so much truth that its sad. It made me ask myself, are we really free like were made to believe we are? I tend to question everything...

Weight Loss

It is not easy to dedicate yourself to working out and eating healthy every day. I praise those who can do it every day with no problem doing it. I watched this show the other day and this lady weighed 600 POUNDS! She was determinded to lose the weight, and after 5 years she weighed about 275lbs. If she can do it then anyone can, for real.

Challenges

This is my first year attending school full time and working full time. It is not easy at all, but I have goals that need to be met by 2013. I usually only attend school part time, so that way I'm sure to do well in my classes. This is certainly a challenge for me.

Valentine's Day

On valentine's day, I spent time with friends and we all decided to attend Lauryn Hills concert. Now Lauryn hill is one of my favorite artist, so you can imagine how excited I was. Well the concert was a disapointment and I ws pretty upset. Her performance was beyond wack and sad to say Lauryn was a hot mess. I love the music she creates, but I think she is some what losing her style of music. Besides the bad performance and Lauryn showing up two hours late. The time spent with my friends was awesome and thats what made my day.

Truth behind that lovely treat we all enjoy Chocolate!

Cocoa beans that are purchased from the Ivory Coast and Nigieria currently use children to cultivate and harvest the land. Companies like Hershy, Cargill, and ADM buy Ivory Coast Cocoa and supply our federal government with chocolate harvested by children. So when you take a bite out of that tastey hershy and almond bar, know that you have just supported the inhuman treatment of a 9 year old boy.

I'm just saying...become more aware and concious consumers.
